Biography - Doug Warren - President, Mainsail Finance Group
Douglas Warren brings over 20 years of diverse financial experience to the Mainsail Finance Group. He has worked with a wide range of clients ranging from small sole
proprietorships to some of the largest multinational companies in the world as well as a variety of non-profit corporations. His working relationships include business owners, all levels of financial and operating management as well as independent consultants, accountants and attorneys.
His extensive experience includes a broad range of industries including; manufacturing, transportation, financial services, healthcare, education and retailing. Mr. Warren's experience includes structuring complex financial transactions using a variety of credit and lease structures, recapitalizing financially troubled companies, public debt issues and raising equity and debt for start-up businesses. He regularly works with other members of the business, legal and financial community to solve financial problems and promote corporate growth.
During his career Mr. Warren has presented to groups at all levels of management including senior managers and boards of directors. He has spoken at financial conferences and served as a team leader and moderator for cross functional teams and training programs.
He started his career with The American National Bank and Trust Co., in the commercial banking division. Subsequently he worked for the Chicago branches of a major European and Japanese bank as a business developer and a credit and relationship manager.
Mr. Warren has a Masters of Management Degree in Finance and Economics from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelors degree in Geography from the University of Chicago . Mr. Warren and his wife have two daughters and live in the suburbs of Chicago . He is a member of the Chicago Yacht Club and the Lake Bluff Yacht Club. He served as a member of the Lake Bluff School Board Caucus, is a past commodore of the Lake Bluff Yacht Club and founded a YMCA Indian Princess tribe serving children in Lake Bluff , Illinois .
